TheTribe

Trust is earned in three places.

What you say, what you build, and how your people work. Each service covers one. Most clients need two.

What you say

Strategic communications

The problem

People stop listening when your message changes depending on who is speaking.

What we do

  • Communication strategy
  • Messaging and narratives
  • Media relations
  • Spokesperson and leadership training

What changes

Your team tells one story, in plain words. Partners, press and the public can check it and believe it.

What you build

Product and AI strategy

The problem

Products fail when they’re built on guesses. AI fails when nobody knows the rules.

What we do

  • Discovery and audience research
  • Product definition and business model
  • Prototyping, testing and launch
  • AI policies, governance and tool testing

What changes

You build what your audience needs. You use AI you can explain and defend.

How your people work

Training and culture

The problem

A team can’t earn trust outside if it doesn’t share skills and values inside.

What we do

  • Workshops and courses, in person and online
  • Training of trainers
  • Defining and living your values
  • Onboarding for remote teams

What changes

People can do things they couldn’t do before. They know what the team stands for.

Research and media analysis

Evidence sits under all three. Content analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and practical toolkits, as part of a project or on their own.

Civil peace in Lebanese media

60+

Journalists and students trained

Challenge

Lebanon's media coverage was deepening social divides. Journalists needed practical, Arabic-first guidance on conflict-sensitive reporting — not another imported framework.

What we did

Wrote a 50-page Arabic journalism manual on social cohesion for UNDP Lebanon, validated it with a Beirut focus group of senior journalists and civil society, then designed and delivered twin Arabic and English toolkits and a workshop series under the Peace Building Project.

Result

More than 60 journalists, editors and students trained; the toolkits remain published references on Trust.org for conflict-sensitive coverage in the region. Coverage that builds trust between communities, not division.

Credibility from day one in Silicon Valley

2

Guest columns placed in VentureBeat

Challenge

Aingel AI was at inception, and needed to establish both company and CEO credibility in Silicon Valley before it had a product in the market.

What we did

Developed an integrated thought leadership strategy and a media outreach plan, positioning the CEO as a voice on AI investing at the intersection of capital and machine intelligence.

Result

The company and its CEO gained visibility through contributed columns in VentureBeat — including a widely read piece on the top angel investors in AI — supporting the company's early growth.

Getting newsrooms ready for AI

1st

Course on AI ethics and digital rights in the foundation's curriculum

Challenge

The goal: newsrooms that can use AI without losing their audience's trust. Newsrooms across Africa and beyond wanted to adopt AI, but had no shared standards, no governance, and no training path that respected editorial judgement.

What we did

Designed the Thomson Reuters Foundation's full newsroom AI curriculum — including its first course on AI Ethics, Data and Digital Rights — authored its three-step guide to AI-ready newsrooms, and led the learning programme design for the Resilience of Independent Media team, including an AI editorial quality assessment tool validated against human editors.

Result

The curriculum is now used across the foundation's newsroom transformation work, and its guides and toolkits are published on Trust.org for newsrooms worldwide.

Culture that survives hypergrowth

500+

People aligned around five shared values

Challenge

Tribal Credit grew from a handful of people to more than 500, working remotely across 27+ countries. Rapid hiring was diluting the culture, and internal communication couldn't keep pace with the scale-up.

What we did

Treated culture as a product. Ran a company-wide culture exercise: 30 hours of team interviews and answers to 14 questions, yielding 591 distinct emotions and 427 reasons behind them, clustered with a sentence-encoding AI model so patterns could actually be counted. From that came five core values written in the team's own words, a culture onboarding programme for every new hire, and the internal communication rhythms that kept a distributed team aligned across time zones. The same approach later shaped a vision-and-values alignment session for AssemblyAI's leadership offsite.

Result

The Culture Amp engagement score came in high — above leading fintech companies — with 90% content engagement among the internal team and investors, and coverage in Forbes, TechCrunch and VentureBeat. Trust inside a team that kept growing.
